Personal finance workshop, April 3 and 10

The Lemonis Center for Student Success and the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences are collaborating to co-host a free, two-session personal finance workshop with guest speaker Bruce Miller.  

The two-part workshop will be held in-person on Thursday, April 3, and Thursday, April 10, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Lemonis Center multipurpose room. Participants will need a laptop or phone to engage with Miller, who will be participating virtually. Lunch will be provided starting at 11:30 a.m.

This event is open to all students, faculty and staff. Attendees will be entered into a drawing for free Marquette merch. 

Topics covered include: 

  • Six ways to get out/stay out of debt and build savings 
  • Four simple investments for a better money future 
  • 401(k)s and IRAs 
  • Make a plan and stay on track with free, private Zoom coaching 

Miller, an honors gradudate of Dartmouth College (AB) and Stanford University (MBA), developed the class Understanding Money. He’s taught thousands of students at schools including Notre Dame, Princeton, University of Texas at Austin and USC how to get out and stay out of debt, save and invest for their financial freedom. He is not affiliated with any financial institutions.
