Join the Counseling Center for Lifesavers Suicide Prevention Training on Wednesday, March 19, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in AMU 157. Registration is encouraged, but not required. This event is open to Marquette students, staff and faculty.
This training, facilitated by Counseling Center staff, will teach the warning signs for suicide risk and discuss helping skills and ways to support someone in distress.
Disclaimer: This is not intended to be a form of counseling or treatment, and it will not train participants to do therapy with someone who is suicidal. This program is designed to offer hope through positive action and to prepare participants to react effectively when someone in their life is struggling, in distress or seems like they might be suicidal.
