GSO nominations for executive board and council members, open March 17

The Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is accepting nominations for executive board members as well as graduate student academic council representatives. The nomination form will open on Monday, March 17, and close Friday, April 4, 2025. Please consider nominating yourself or student colleagues for a leadership role for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. 

The GSO represents all graduate students enrolled in the Graduate School. The GSO executive board meets with the Dean of the Graduate School, graduate committees, graduate students, and Marquette University administration. 

Graduate Student Organization leadership positions include:

Executive Board Positions (Estimated number of hours per academic year: 60)

President: Lead meetings, oversee e-board meetings 

Vice-President: Email graduate student department reps, council members, keep track of committees 

Community Integration/Engagement: Plans community events (service)

Communications: Respond to emails, run social media 

Logistics: Coordinate events, finances 

GSO Committee Positions (Estimated number of hours per academic year: 40)

University Assessment Committee

Committee on Diversity and Equity

Committee on Academic Technology

University Board for Student Media

GSO All-Council Positions (Estimated number of hours per academic year: 10)

Representatives are needed from each department from the colleges and schools listed below.  Council representatives will meet with the e-board to represent their academic colleagues and to discuss concerns or activities in each program.
