Ethical Collecting: Questioning the Black Archive, March 19 

The Haggerty Museum of Art will host “Ethical Collecting: Questioning the Black Archive,” presented as part of Marquette University Law School’s Intellectual Property Colloquium Series on Wednesday, March 19, at noon. 

The series features distinguished scholars from across the nation. This session is presented in collaboration with the Haggery Museum of Art in conjunction with the exhibition “Visual Legacies: Photographs by Ellie Lee Weems.”

  • Kali Murray, professor of law, Marquette University Law School 
  • Bruce Boyden, associate professor of law, Marquette University Law School 
  • Dr. Rikki Byrd, visual legacies curator and assistant professor of visual culture studies, Department of African and African Diaspora Studies, University of Texas at Austin
