Marquette University School of Dentistry hosted its 26th Research Day Thursday in the Alumni Memorial Union, crowning 15 award winners.
The day began with a morning research and rounds poster session, featuring 40 posters representing predoctoral, resident and faculty basic science research and clinical research posters. Many of the posters will be presented at the upcoming American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) meeting in New York in March.

The afternoon oral session consisted of a presentation by keynote speaker Dr. Jeffery Price, clinical professor of oral radiology and co-director, Division of Artificial Intelligence Research at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, followed by oral research presentations from four MUSOD faculty members.
Posters and presentations were judged by a panel of dental school faculty. Dean Elsbeth Kalenderian, Dr. Jeffrey Toth, associate dean for research and professor of biomaterials, and Dr. Mary Cimrmancic, clinical associate professor and Rounds leader, concluded the day by presenting 13 Research Day Award winners and four Dental Rounds winners.
