Update on provost search from committee chair Dr. SuJean Choi

Dear Marquette community,

On behalf of the provost search committee, I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to all who participated in the recent listening sessions for Marquette’s next provost. Thank you for your insights and feedback, which will help shape how the committee identifies, vets and ultimately interviews candidates.

The search committee held listening sessions with faculty, academic department chairs, academic staff, the Division of Belonging and Student Affairs, the Jesuit Community, the deans, students, the Provost’s Cabinet, and the University Leadership Council. The search committee and I were pleased with the high level of engagement at all our sessions — thank you for using these opportunities thoughtfully.

We will continue to provide updates via Marquette Today as the search moves forward.

If you were unable to attend the listening sessions, you may still provide your insights through the online input form; otherwise, feel free to contact me via email. Please also use the online input form to nominate potential candidates. The provost position profile is available online.

Respectfully,

Dr. SuJean Choi
