Prestigious study abroad scholarship awarded to Marquette student

Kamaria Gragston, a criminology major in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship this spring for her education abroad experience.

The Gilman Program broadens the student population that studies and interns abroad by supporting undergraduates who might not otherwise participate due to financial constraints. The program aims to encourage students to study and intern in a diverse array of countries, areas and world regions.

Gragston is a first-generation college student and a part of the Urban Scholars program, Honors Program and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She will be studying abroad in Cape Town, South Africa.
