Join the Educational Opportunity Program, the Urban Scholars Program and the Office of Inclusion and Belonging for the first Black-Brown Get Down of the semester on Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the 707 Hub. Student-leaders will facilitate conversations around this month’s theme of hope, healing and purpose and participants will enjoy a meal catered by Daddy’s Soul Food.
These monthly student-led gatherings are designed to build community, cultivate cultural awareness and foster solidarity among students across racial and ethnic boundaries.
Students from all racial/ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to participate in the conversation.
Each session explores the challenges and joys of being a student of color and how we are all connected, in addition to featuring food from local Black- and brown-owned businesses.
