Volleyball to begin NCAA Tournament slate Dec. 5 

The Marquette women’s volleyball team will begin its 13th appearance in the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship when the fifth-seeded Golden Eagles face Florida Gulf Coast University on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 5:30 p.m. in Salt Lake City. 

The match can be viewed on ESPN+. 

Marquette (23-8) finished second in the Big East Conference and is led by 11th-year head coach Ryan Theis and All-Big East selections Aubrey Hamilton, Hattie Bray and Yadhira Anchante. The Golden Eagles have participated in every full-field NCAA tournament since 2011 and have advanced to the NCAA Second Round on seven occasions and competed in a pair of regional semifinals in 2018 and 2022. 

If the Golden Ealges win, they will meet the winner of fourth-seeded Utah and the College of Charleston on Friday, Dec. 6, at 8 p.m.
