The campus community gathered on Tuesday, Dec. 3, to celebrate the annual university Christmas tree lighting in the Gratitude Garden outside St. Joan of Arc Chapel. Co-hosted by the Marquette Jesuit Community, the Division of Belonging and Student Affairs, and the Office of University Relations, the night featured carols sung and played by the Marquette band and All-Campus Choir, hot chocolate, cookies and even an appearance by Santa.
President Kimo Ah Yun and Rev. John Thiede, S.J., vice president for mission and ministry, delivered remarks on the importance of the Advent season.
