Changes to Office of University Relations structure

To reduce administrative complexity resulting from co-leadership of a single office, the Office of University Relations will become two distinct offices, effective January 2025.

OUR’s public affairs, corporate engagement and community engagement functions will retain the Office of University Relations name and continue to report to Ralph Weber, vice president and general counsel. Weber will also continue to oversee the Office of General Counsel.

OUR’s marketing and communication functions will continue to report to Lynn Griffith, chief marketing and communication officer, and will return to the legacy Office of Marketing and Communication name.

Both Weber and Griffith will continue to report to the president and serve on the President’s Cabinet.

This change will have no impact on budget, office space or organizational structure — offices will remain where they are and there will be no changes to budget, reporting structure or titles. Both teams across the two offices will continue to collaborate in support of the university’s Catholic, Jesuit mission.
