Stand up against sexual violence with Take Back the Night, Oct. 30

Join the Center for Student Wellness and Health Promotion, along with Advocacy Services, for their second annual Take Back the Night event on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the AMU Monaghan Ballrooms.

Take Back the Night started as a movement to fight for women’s safety but has evolved into an international organization that strives to end sexual violence for all genders.

The event will include a candlelight vigil, speak out and resource tabling. New this year is a visual art gallery of various interpretations of self-expression related to sexual violence, harassment and dating violence submitted by individual students, student organizations, staff and faculty.

A confidential survivor advocate is one call or walk-in away. Marquette Advocacy Services’ 24/7 hotline is (414) 288-5244 and its email address (business hours only) is advocacy@marquette.edu. Advocacy Services is in the 707 building room 130.  See their website for more information
