Marquette.edu website redesign will align with brand creative platform, improve user experience

The marquette.edu university website will undergo a redesign this fall to improve the user experience and bring elements of the site into the university’s new brand creative platform that was introduced in fall 2022.

Set to launch in beta later this month following testing, the new design for marquette.edu will be applied initially to a set of eight highly visible websites that together account for 31% of marquette.edu pageviews each year. This includes the marquette.edu homepage; the About, Academics, Admissions and Visit websites; and the Undergraduate Admissions website.

The website redesign project also includes a significant reduction and re-organization of content to better align the university’s digital platform with industry best practices and to improve search functionality.

Later this fall, other websites and pages throughout the marquette.edu domain will receive updates to typography and graphic elements to ensure a more consistent look and feel for the five million visitors to the website each year.

“Marquette.edu is the university’s front door and our goal is that it creates a positive first impression, particularly for prospective students and their families,” said Lynn Griffith, chief marketing and communication officer in the Office of University Relations. “Improving the digital experience for web visitors and showcasing Marquette’s strong, energetic brand is an important step in advancing the university’s national reputation. We are grateful to our partners in IT Services and Undergraduate Admissions and web content managers across campus for their great work in helping launch these important and exciting updates to the university website.”

User input is critical to refining the marquette.edu updates. When the updated website launches, a feedback form will be available on every page — please provide your feedback and also report any issues or errors you experience.
