‘Jamming for Jimmy’ concert in honor of James Foley, Oct. 12

Marquette students, faculty and staff can attend the Jamming for Jimmy concert – a celebration of the life of late Marquette alumnus James Foley – for $15 on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Milwaukee’s Pabst Theater. To receive the Marquette discount, visit the ticket office on the day of the show and display your Marquette University ID.

The concert features three bands, the BoDeans, the Predictors and the Thriftones, with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Tickets can also be purchased online before Oct. 12. Use promo code FOLEY2024 to save $20 off first floor and balcony seats.

Foley, a 1996 graduate, was a freelance journalist who was captured and beheaded by ISIS in Syria in 2014. His friend Dr. Tom Durkin, research and grant coordinator in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, shared a reflection on his time with Foley and his lasting legacy with Marquette Today earlier this fall.

Dr. John and Diane Foley, James Foley’s parents, will be in attendance at the show.
