Valley Week, which showcases unique and fun ways to experience nature, destinations and history in the Menomonee River Valley, runs from Sept. 14-21. The event features the valley’s world-class companies, popular destinations and outdoor recreation.

Saturday, Sept. 14
- Pedal and picnic | 10 a.m. to noon at Menomonee Valley Community Park (212 S. 36th St.)
- Join Menomonee Valley Partners and Near West Side Partners for a family-friendly two or five mile roll between the Menomonee River Valley and the Near West Side. This is a free event.
Monday, Sept. 16
- Valley business bags tournament | 4:30 p.m. at MOTOR Bar & Restaurant (400 W. Canal St.)
- Toss your way to the top with beautiful riverfront reviews at the Harley-Davidson Museum. Participation costs $75 per team.
Tuesday, Sept. 17
- Valley job fair | 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Standard Electric Supply Co. (222 N. Emmber Lane)
- Drop in to learn about all of the family-supporting jobs located in the Valley.
- Sunset kayak tour | 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Twisted Fisherman (1200 W. Canal St.)
- Paddle into the sunset while learning about the past and future of the Menomonee River Valley. As darkness descends, participants will switch on their headlamps for a unique experience. Participation costs $45 for a single kayak and $85 for a tandem kayak, with funds being donated to MVP.
Wednesday, Sept. 18
- Breakfast and electronics recycling | 7 a.m. to noon at Stamm Tech (1207 W. Canal St.)
- Drop off old electronics and stay for a free breakfast.
- Happy hour cruises | 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Twisted Fisherman
- Enjoy evening views on a casual 45-minute cruise along the Menomonee River. Cost is $15 per person.
Friday, Sept. 20
- Valley trivia night | 6 p.m. at MOTOR Bar & Grill
- Show off your knowledge of the Menomonee River Valley and pocket some fun facts.
Saturday, Sept. 21
- Kids story hike | 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at the Urban Ecology Center (3700 W. Pierce St.)
- Menomonee Valley Three storytellers will be stationed around Three Bridges Park ready to engage young minds in a tale while surrounded by nature. This event is free.
