The Institute for Women’s Leadership, Marquette Votes and Civic Dialogues will present a screening of the short film “Most Dangerous Women” on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. in the 707 Hub.
UW-Milwaukee professor emerita Dr. Merry Wiesner-Hanks will join as a special guest speaker. Additionally, information on how to create your own voting plan will be provided, courtesy of Marquette Votes.
The short film documentary series, produced by Milwaukee-based New Moon Productions, covers the untold stories of women change-makers and encourages viewers to reflect on the dangerous and unacknowledged actions of women in their own lives. Directed by Janet Fitch, the episodes use both past and present-day footage to encourage a diverse range of audiences to engage in community building and storytelling.
The screening is free to attend, though registration is required. Light refreshments will be served.
