Student listening session for presidential search, Sept. 5; join for free pizza, beverages

The Marquette Board of Trustees officially launched a national search for the university’s 25th president, and the search committee is scheduling listening sessions with stakeholder groups across campus to aid in their work.

All students are invited to attend a listening session on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. in AMU 163. This is an important opportunity for you to share your insights and ask questions that will help inform how the search committee recruits, vets, interviews and evaluates candidates for the 25th president of Marquette University.

Free pizza and soft drinks will be provided during the session.

Also, please encourage your classmates to join you — the more voices the steering committee hears from, the better informed they will be to make this important decision for Marquette.

Prior to attending, please read the Presidential Leadership Profile, which is a description of the Marquette president’s role. Developed by the search committee, the profile reflects Marquette’s current realities, particularly the progress the university made over the past decade under President Michael Lovell’s leadership; the Guided by Mission, Inspired to Change strategic plan; and the Securing Our Future initiative.

If you are unable to attend a listening session or want to provide additional input on your expectations for the next president, please fill out this online form.

If you would like to nominate a candidate, nominations, inquiries and applications may be submitted through the Isaacson, Miller website
