Marquette professor interviews Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Marilynne Robinson

Rev. Joseph Simmons, S.J., (Arts ’04), assistant professor of theology in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, recently sat down with the subject of his doctoral dissertation — novelist and essayist Marilynne Robinson — to record an episode of AMDG: A Jesuit Podcast.

Robinson and Simmons have a wide-ranging conversation about theology, philosophy, literature, poetry, spiritual attention and the dreadful conditions of studying in 16th-century Paris.
