U.S. News releases 2024-25 Best Graduate Schools rankings 

U.S. News and World Report today released its 2024-25 Best Graduate Schools rankings, and many Marquette programs held relatively steady over last year’s rankings. 

Several graduate programs moved up in the rankings. Highlights include the master’s program in the College of Nursing, which moved up from 66 to 58. The Marquette University Law School additionally moved into the top 70, improving from 71 to 68. 

The Graduate School of Management’s MBA specialty in accounting moved up several places from 44 to 35. The College of Health Sciences’ occupational therapy program is ranked for the first time.

Following is Marquette’s full list of graduate program rankings for 2024-25. (Figures in parentheses represent the program’s previous ranking.) 

Business

  • MBA specialties 
    • Accounting — 35 (44) 
    • Finance — 31 (21) 

Education 

  • Overall — 192 (192) 

Engineering — U.S. News has delayed the release of its Best Engineering Schools rankings. We will share those rankings in Marquette Today as soon as they are available. 

Health Sciences

  • Occupational therapy — 65 (NR)
  • Physical therapy — 20 (13)
  • Speech language pathology — 59 (55)

Law 

  • Overall — 68 (71) 

Nursing 

  • Master’s overall — 58 (66) 
  • Doctorate (DNP) — 85 (78) 
  • Anesthesia — 51

Not all graduate programs are ranked every year by U.S. News. Some health sciences and science and humanities disciplines are ranked approximately every three years.
