MUSneakerBall is collecting shoe donations in partnership with Stans Footwear to give back to local shelters throughout Milwaukee. Students, faculty, staff and community members can donate their shoes on the first floor of Johnston Hall and the second floor of the AMU outside room 245 for the entire month of April.
The shoes will be donated to local shelters across the Milwaukee area by Stans Footwear.
The Share a Pair donation coincides with the upcoming “Sneaker Ball” event on Monday, April 29, in the AMU Monaghan Ballrooms from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Shoe donations will also be accepted during the ball, which is being put on by a class within the Diederich College of Communication.
Attendees are encouraged to showcase their favorite pair of sneakers at the ball while wearing formal or semi-formal attire. Food and music will be provided, as well as fun activities including a raffle and photo area.
