More than 70 students were recognized at the 2024 Marquette Business Honors Convocation on Sunday, April 7.
The ceremony, which is in its 100th year, recognizes Marquette College of Business Administration and Graduate School of Management award winners, business inductees to the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit honor society and inductees to the Beta Gamma Sigma international business honor society.
“Students that participated in this ceremony are some of the most accomplished students in Marquette Business,” said Beth Krey, assistant dean of undergraduate programs. “The dedication, passion and level of achievement of our students is what makes Marquette Business a pillar of both the higher education industry and the local business community. I congratulate all the honorees on a job very well done.”
Ten business students became new members of Alpha Sigma Nu, a society founded in 1915 at Marquette to honor a select number of students on the basis of scholarship, loyalty, and service. Alpha Sigma Nu identifies the most promising students of the Jesuit schools, students who demonstrate an intellectual appreciation of and commitment to the ideals of Jesuit education. Selection to Alpha Sigma Nu is one of the highest honors that can be given on a Jesuit campus.
Beta Gamma Sigma added 45 members to its ranks on Sunday. Founded in 1913, BGS is recognized as the international business honors society for the top five percent of business schools in the world.
