Blue, the Marquette University Police Department community outreach dog, is celebrating his second birthday as part of Give Marquette Day on Tuesday, March 5. Visit the second floor of the Alumni Memorial Union from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a celebration of Blue.
The festivities will feature free coffee, a hot cocoa bar and Blue stickers. The campus community is additionally invited to sign Blue’s birthday banner and take pictures with the birthday boy from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m.
Custom Blue cookies will be available starting at noon.
In lieu of presents, Blue is encouraging gifts in support of the Bridge to the Future Fund, an emergency fund that helps current students in financial need stay at Marquette. All student donors will receive a pair of spirit socks in person. Plus, Brothers David Trautschold, Eng ’06, and Matt Trautschold, Eng ’04, will give $50 for each student donor, up to 200 donors.
Give Marquette Day is a 24-hour fundraising event for alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends to join together and make a big impact.
