Update on FAFSA delays and financial aid priority deadline

The Office of Student Financial Aid is aware that families are experiencing difficulties completing their 2024-25 FAFSAs due to technical issues with the government’s updated online application. Due to these issues, the Feb. 1 priority deadline is not being enforced.

In addition, the Department of Education has announced that they are not sharing FAFSA information with schools until mid-March, which will cause delays in initial financial aid offers being available to families. The Office of Student Financial Aid will work on getting offers to families as quickly as possible once FAFSA information is made available to schools.

If your family has unusual or special financial circumstances, Marquette can review those once you have received your initial financial aid offer. Student Financial Aid continues to monitor this situation and will provide updates on its website and in Marquette Today as they become available.
