Lubar Center’s ‘Get to Know’ the women of the Republic National Convention, March 7

Join the Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education on Thursday, March 7, at 12:15 p.m. as it continues its “Get to Know” series. Derek Mosley, director of the Lubar Center, will welcome Elise Dickens, Anne Hathaway and Alison Prange, women instrumental in the planning and orchestration of the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

In July 2024, over 50,000 people will come to Milwaukee for the convention, creating an expected economic impact of $200 million in the area. Hathaway, chairwoman of the Republican Party’s Committee on Arrangements; Dickens, chief executive officer of the convention; and Prange, chief operating officer of the MKE 2024 Host Committee, will share how planning is coming along, what residents can expect, and why Wisconsin was an important choice as the convention location.

The “Get to Know” series is intended to be “more late-night talk show than ‘Meet the Press.’” The program will begin promptly at 12:15 p.m. and last an hour. The program will include lunch, conversation and community in Eckstein Hall. Please register to attend.
