The Klingler College of Arts and Sciences has announced Mark Krusinski, Arts ’89, as its inaugural executive-in-residence.
Krusinski brings a wealth of experience as a business development and sales executive, boasting senior management roles that have ranged from spearheading sales efforts for a tech startup to overseeing a multistate corporate sales division targeting Fortune 100 companies.
The inception of the A&S Executive in Residence program aligns with recent and ongoing initiatives within the college and the university, echoing the aspirations articulated in Marquette’s new strategic plan. Krusinski will focus on three primary objectives:
- Fostering student success, with a particular emphasis on equipping Arts and Sciences majors for their professional journeys post-graduation.
- Facilitating connections within the business community, especially in critical growth sectors such as data science and healthcare.
- Providing strategic guidance on key initiatives, including visioning for the BioDiscovery project and supporting a new institute devoted to “Care for Our Common Home.”
“I am thrilled to be part of the A&S executive-in-residence program and to have the opportunity to contribute to the development of future professionals in the College of Arts and Sciences,” Krusinski said.
Krusinski’s responsibilities will encompass a diverse array of activities. These include acting as a guest speaker in classes to offer industry insights and real-world perspectives, engaging in employer outreach efforts to strengthen ties between academia and the workforce, participating in selected Arts and Sciences meetings to contribute his expertise, and mentoring Arts and Sciences students, faculty and staff.
Dr. Heidi Bostic, dean of the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, also expressed her enthusiasm, stating that “Mark Krusinski’s appointment marks an exciting milestone for our college. His expertise and industry insights will undoubtedly enrich our students’ educational experiences and further strengthen our connections with the business community.”
