The Center for Teaching and Learning’s community of practice on “scholarship of teaching and learning,” a professional development opportunity for faculty, focuses on learning about and creating scholarship in teaching and learning, both to benefit instructional practices at Marquette and to contribute to scholarly literature about teaching and learning.
The phrase “scholarship of teaching and learning” identifies a body of research and scholarship devoted to advancing evidence-informed teaching and learning practices that are rooted in sound theory and methodologies. The first of its kind at Marquette, this SoTL CoP brings together diverse expertise and academic backgrounds to facilitate learning about SoTL and producing research within this academic field.
