Join the Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 12:15 p.m. as it continues its “Get to Know” series. Derek Mosley, director of the Lubar Center, will welcome Cecelia Gore, executive director of the Brewers Community Foundation.
Gore has led community efforts for the Brewers since 2009, supporting nonprofits that improve the education, health, recreation and basic needs of local youth and families. She serves on numerous boards, including the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Sojourner Family Peace Center and Hank Aaron Chasing the Dream Foundation. Gore has received honors from Carroll University, Boys and Girls Club, Girl Scouts Wisconsin Southeast and the Donald Driver Foundation. She was named to the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Women of Influence Hall of Fame. Learn about Gore’s love of her hometown, her commitment to change in the community and the Brewers Community Foundation’s impact on Milwaukee.
The “Get to Know” series is intended to be “more late-night talk show than ‘Meet the Press.’” The program begins promptly at 12:15 p.m. and will include lunch, conversation and community in Eckstein Hall. Please register online to attend.
