Join Larry Birkett and members of the Marquette community for a Midweek Mindful Meditation class, offered Thursdays from 12:10 p.m. to 1 p.m. in AMU 233.
The midweek drop-in style class explores basic mindfulness meditation. This class is centered around the foundational meditation practices of focus and discovery and is accessible to all.
Through these core practices, we become more synchronized in body and mind, and we begin to relate to our world in a less distracted and more wakeful way. The class is suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners. No meditation experience is required.
The class is offered every week through May 2, with exceptions on Feb. 1, March 14 and March 28.
“Mindfulness meditation is not just a means of calming down or becoming more productive. It is a practice that can open the door to genuinely life-changing insights and lead to a profound new way of relating to ourselves, others, and the world around us.” – Dharma Moon
