Speech and Hearing Clinic hosts book drive for local children; donations accepted through Dec. 8

The Marquette University Speech and Hearing Clinic is hosting a donation drive to provide 100 books — in English and Spanish — to local children through the Next Door Foundation in honor of the clinic’s 100th anniversary.

There are two ways to donate or contribute:

  • Donate new or gently used books appropriate for children ages 0-5 years. There are collection bins on Marquette’s campus in the clinic waiting room in Cramer Hall, the Hartman Literacy and Learning Center in Schroeder Complex, and at the Marquette University Child Care Center.
  • Donate money toward the purchase of one or more books.A $7 donation will purchase one bookto put in the hands of a child, so just $35 can put a smile on the faces of five Milwaukee children this holiday season.

Donate any amount online. The book drive and fundraiser is open now through Dec. 8.
