Colloquium on large language model-based chatbots and generative AI on campus, Nov. 30

The Center for Data, Ethics, and Society, the Graduate School and the Humanities Research Colloquium have partnered to offer a series of colloquia addressing large-language models and generative AI. The second of the colloquia series will be held Thursday, Nov. 30, in the Raynor Memorial Library Beaumier Suites BC from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. or accessed online here.

The event will feature a multi-disciplinary panel discussing and demonstrating a hands-on approach to using the tools. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops.

Panelists include:

  • Dr. Lily Campbell, director of Foundations in Rhetoric and associate professor of English in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences
  • Dr. Gerry Canavan, chair and professor of English in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences
  • Dr. Larry Xu, assistant professor of strategic communication in the Diederich College of Communication and director of the Ai4Ai Lounge

The event will be facilitated by Dr. Scott D’Urso, associate dean of the Graduate School. Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend.
