Marquette at 19% of goal in blood drive competition; donate Oct. 24

Marquette has collected 99 units of blood, which is 19% of the university’s 500-unit goal, as part of its blood drive competition with Butler University. Help Marquette continue its strong start by donating on Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Straz Tower 106.

Interested participants can register online. While appointments are encouraged, walk-ins will also be accepted.

Marquette is currently in the lead in the competition, with Butler University at 9% of its goal.

Reminder: Employees do not have to clock out to participate in a drive. Supervisor approval is required.

Donations can also go toward the battle outside of specified drives. Use the code “#marquette” in the appointment notes while scheduling with Versiti.

The Marquette community donated 434 units of blood during the 2022-23 academic year as part of the first competition with Butler. Thanks to 393 donors, the campus community helped save 1,302 lives.
