The Science Coalition, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization of more than 50 of the nation’s leading public and private research universities, is hosting its fifth annual video challenge in which students are encouraged to create videos highlighting the importance of scientific research.
Graduate and undergraduate students can submit a 60 to 90-second video. Submissions will be accepted through Friday, Oct. 20.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three graduate and undergraduate winners.

Marquette has had success in the competition. In 2019, Alissa Wuorinen, then an undergraduate in biomedical sciences in the College of Health Sciences, received an award from The Science Coalition for her second-place finish.
In 2021, Adam Knier, then a doctoral candidate in Marquette University’s Klingler College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Biological Sciences, earned third place in the graduate student division.
