On the Issues: U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher, Oct. 12 

Join the Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education for “On the Issues: U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher,” on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 12:15 p.m. in Eckstein Hall. 

Lubar Center Director Derek C. Mosley will talk with Gallagher (R-Wis.), who has served the eighth congressional district, including Green Bay, since 2017. 

They will discuss the current work of the 118th Congress, including the House Select Committee on Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party. Gallagher serves as the select committee’s chair. 

Gallagher earned the rank of captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served for seven years on active duty as a human intelligence/counterintelligence officer and regional affairs officer for the Middle East and North Africa. The congressman holds a Ph.D. from Georgetown University in government and international relations and a bachelor’s degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
