Marquette volleyball sets new NCAA regular-season indoor attendance record at Fiserv Forum

Crowd of 17,037 fans watch Golden Eagles battle No. 1 Wisconsin

Marquette volleyball played in front of a record 17,037 fans – a new NCAA regular-season indoor best for the sport – on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum. Attendees watched the Golden Eagles take on Wisconsin, the No. 1 ranked team in the country, in the arena that typically hosts Marquette’s men’s basketball team.

The previous indoor regular-season record was set by Wisconsin last year when a crowd of 16,833 watched the Badgers battle the Florida Gators. The Fiserv Forum match also marks the highest-attended women’s sporting event in Wisconsin.

The Golden Eagles have 10 regular season games remaining at the Al McGuire Center in addition to playing at UW-Milwaukee on Thursday, Sept. 14. Marquette is hosting the BIG EAST Volleyball Championship from Nov. 22-25 at the Al McGuire Center.
