Dr. Khadijah Makky receives Fr. Pedro Arrupe, S.J. Faculty Colleague Award 

Dr. Khadijah (Gigi) Makky, clinical professor of biomedical sciences in the College of Health Sciences, was selected by her colleagues to receive the 2023 Fr. Pedro Arrupe, S.J., Faculty Colleague Award

The Fr. Pedro Arrupe, S.J., Faculty Colleague Award is designed to recognize and celebrate a faculty colleague whose extraordinary generosity towards others will stand out as an example for all in the coming year. Nominators commended Makky for caring for others, noting her willingness to check in on coworkers and writing heartfelt notes to those experiencing difficulties. Makky is known for building community and for her steadfast commitment to students, faculty and staff.
