Join the Marquette Social Professionals and Sustainable Marquette Employee Resource Groups for a picnic in the Pocket Prairie on Friday, Aug. 4, from noon to 2 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Blankets and some lawn games will be provided.
After lunch, the Go Wild! team will give an update on the prairie project. Those interested are invited to stick around and help weed the prairies.
The Pocket Prairie, located in Eckstein Common just south of the Alumni Memorial Union, features around 35 native Wisconsin plants, including wildflowers, grasses and shrubs.
