The 2023 Nurse Anesthesia DNP cohort graduated on Thursday, Aug. 17 at a ceremony held in the Alumni Memorial Union.
Marquette Nursing Dean Dr. Jill Guttormson was there to celebrate the graduates, along with Dr. Lisa Thiemann, the Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program, and Dr. Jay Tumulak, the program’s Associate Director.
Founded in 2017, the DNP Anesthesia program is one of only two in Wisconsin. It graduated its first class in 2021 and has been lauded for its instructional design, innovative cohort model and clinical oversight. Graduates from this three-year program are equipped in a variety of techniques for every situation in which anesthesia is delivered to patients.
