Excessive heat watch in effect for move-in days; bring water, use caution

The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch in effect the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 23, through the evening of Thursday, Aug. 24. First-year and transfer students and their families who are moving into Marquette residence halls should be aware of the predicted heat and use caution. The Office of Residence Life will have some water bottles available, and families are asked to bring water and hydrate often. Wherever possible, check-in stations for move-in are being moved inside to the residence hall lobbies. Orientation events that are being held outside may be moved inside; check the Marquette Guidebook app and your Marquette student email for updates.
