Sponsored by the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion, the Making Marquette Inclusive (MMI) discussion series provides faculty and staff with the opportunity to examine issues of diversity, equity and inclusion as they relate to our day-to-day work on campus and to reinforce the value of working across differences.
Several cohorts are available for the summer. Priority deadline to register is Monday, May 15.
To date, 24 cohorts of over 200 employees have participated in this program. Through short articles, videos and a series of facilitated conversations, participants in this 10-week mini-course explore themes such as implicit bias, privilege, microaggressions, the promotion of justice and effective dialogue orientations. Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the concepts, reflect on their relevance to their own lives, apply the concepts to their work and examine where they are/are not present.
