Three Marquette students – Wendy Maribel Medina Gonzalez, Danielle Hart and Heyam Omar – have received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship for an upcoming education abroad experience.
The Gilman Program broadens the student population that studies and interns abroad by supporting undergraduates who might not otherwise participate due to financial constraints. The program aims to encourage students to study and intern in a diverse array of countries or areas and world regions.
Applications for in-person programs or internships that start between Dec. 1, and Oct. 31, 2024, (J Session 2024, spring 2024, summer 2024 and fall 2024) will open in mid-August. The Gilman Scholarship Program application deadline is Friday, Oct. 6, at 1:59 a.m.
