The campus community is invited to a National Day of Action teach-in and discussion in Raynor Memorial Libraries 245 on Wednesday, May 3, at 10 a.m. No registration is required to attend.
This day of action is in response to U.S. legislation in schools that seeks to censor histories of oppression, as well as regulate and ban access to theory, knowledge and texts. The teach-in and discussion are organized by Ibtisam M. Abujad, doctoral candidate in the Department of English, with support from the Department of English and the Raynor Memorial Libraries.
To prepare for the discussion, attendees are invited to read the introduction from “Critical Race Theory: The Key Writings that Informed the Movement.”
