Join Marquette’s community partner Bembé Drum & Dance for its annual show, Journey the Atlantic/Viajando el Atlantico, on Friday, May 12, at 7 p.m. at Alverno College’s Pittman Theater (3431 S. 39th St.).
The show is a musical journey through the African Diaspora with percussion and dance from West Africa, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Puerto Rico and the U.S., featuring youth and adult performers. The show is free and family-friendly.
