Dr. E. J. and Margaret O’Brien Hall, the new home for the College of Business Administration, Graduate School of Management and innovation leadership programs, was selected as a winner at the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 2023 Real Estate Awards on Wednesday, May 17. O’Brien Hall was named the best new development in the education category.
The Milwaukee Business Journal’s Real Estate Awards focus on the best real estate deals and projects completed in 2022, with judges looking strongly at community impact and project success. Projects included are within Milwaukee, Kenosha, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha counties. O’Brien Hall is among 16 honorees.
O’Brien Hall, which opened in January, is the largest fully donor-funded construction project in university history. The $60 million, 100,000 square-foot facility was built for the future with maximum flexibility and state-of-the-art, globally connective technology, anchoring the west gateway to campus.
Highlighted by an open, welcoming atrium — the Wintrust Gallery — O’Brien Hall features collaborative classrooms and lab and study spaces, as well as a host of signature spaces.
