Milwaukee leaders came together to celebrate the accomplishments of the Marquette men’s basketball team during the 2022-23 season on Tuesday, April 11, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.
City of Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, Milwaukee County Board Chairwoman Marcelia Nicholson, community organizations and other community members hosted Marquette, Head Coach Shaka Smart, his staff and the team.
As part of the ceremony, Mayor Johnson proclaimed April 11 as Marquette Day throughout the City of Milwaukee.
