A message from the dean of the College of Education

Dear alumni and friends,

We in the College of Education are blessed with faculty, staff, students and community members driven to create a positive ripple effect throughout our world. In line with Marquette’s Catholic, Jesuit mission, our work focuses on developing educators who are prepared to go and Be The Difference in their communities, schools and organizations.

At the center of these efforts is our call to serve those with the greatest need. You will find examples throughout this first digital issue of Marquette Education that exemplify our pursuit of social justice and the effect educators and counselors can have on those they inspire. These changemakers are needed now more than ever as we combat nationwide shortages of educators and clinical mental health counselors.

Thanks to our new email format, I’m excited to be able to share these stories of current and future leaders with you more frequently. Thank you for your continued engagement with and support of the College of Education — you have helped make living out our mission possible.

Please feel free to reach out to me at heidi.bostic@marquette.edu — I would love to hear from you!

Sincerely,

Dr. Heidi Bostic
Dean, College of Education
