Statistical Consulting and Training Deep Learning Workshop, March 24

The Office for Statistical Consulting and Training will present its third annual Deep Learning Workshop on Friday, March 24, at the Alumni Memorial Union.

The event is free for Marquette students and is a minimum cost to Marquette’s faculty due to donations from Kohler, Direct Supply and Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute.

Register online. Space is limited.

“Deep Learning” is an advanced computational learning strategy concerned with techniques and methods inspired by the function of the human brain. Deep Learning is a type of neural network of which use has taken off in recent years. Many scientific and industrial disciplines now use the approach to discover hidden patterns and facts from massive and diverse data sources. Deep Learning shows promise in a wide variety of applications ranging from object tagging and speech recognition to disease diagnosis and treatment. The currently emerging applications of Generative AI (such as ChatGPT) tap the power of Deep Learning and related artificial neural network approaches.

In its third year, this workshop presents Deep Learning and related artificial neural networks from a computational perspective. Join with researchers, business leaders, students and faculty for a full day of professional learning.
