Photos: Marquette celebrates Engineers Week with activities and competitions hosted by student leaders in the Opus College of Engineering

From Sunday, Feb. 19, to Saturday, Feb. 25, student leaders in Engineering Student Council hosted Engineers Week (E-Week) at Marquette. In conjunction with a nationwide celebration, E-Week at Marquette is an opportunity to celebrate the engineering profession and gather as a community for social and professional events.

Highlights included a Silent Auction benefitting Engineers without Borders at Marquette; Faculty Flip, a pancake breakfast with faculty and staff behind the griddles; a dance video game night with Marquette’s Biomedical Engineering Society; a tacos and trivia night; a hands-on activity with Dr. Somesh Roy’s collaboration at the Haggerty Museum of Art; a build competition with Engineers Without Borders; an expo of Marquette’s Society of Automotive Engineers baja car; Engineering Cake Wars, a team-based cake decorating contest with a twist; a night of music and dancing at Engineer’s Ball; and finally, a showdown for the E-lypmics Dodgeball tournament.
