Take part in the Philosophy Friday seminar series

Join the Department of Philosophy on most Fridays throughout the spring semester for the Philosophy Seminar Series. The events take place in Marquette Hall 105 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

The events are open to the public and virtual participation is available.

Upcoming events include:

  • Feb. 10: Dr. Grant Silva, associate professor of philosophy in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, presents “Charles Mills on White Ways of Loving Wisdom: Why Black Minds Matter in Professional Philosophy”
  • Feb. 17: Jeremiah Noonan, graduate assistant of philosophy, presents “Benefitting Friends, Harming Enemies: Socratic Irony and Thrasymachus’ Workmanship”
