Blue, the Marquette University Police Department community outreach dog, is celebrating his first birthday as part of Give Marquette Day on Tuesday, March 7.
Blue’s birthday wish is to help give students a foot in the door to a Marquette education. Visit the second floor of the Alumni Memorial Union on March 7 to sign Blue’s birthday banner, enjoy treats and take pictures with the birthday boy between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In lieu of presents, Blue is asking the campus community to support the Bridge to the Future Fund or bring an unopened, nonperishable, unexpired food item or personal care item for the Backpack Program. Five participants will have a chance to win an exclusive Blue plush, which will arrive on campus for sale this spring. All donors can choose a pair of spirit socks, available in two colors.
Give Marquette Day is a 24-hour fundraising event for alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends to join together and make a big impact.
