Megan Duffy, head coach of the Marquette women’s basketball team, was named to the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 2023 40 Under 40 list, a collection of young business and community leaders from throughout southeastern Wisconsin who are making a difference in the Milwaukee area.
Duffy, in her fourth season leading the Golden Eagles, is coming off a season where she guided Marquette to the WNIT Sweet 16 and the seventh-best win total in program history. Through three seasons, Duffy held the highest winning percentage of any coach in program history with a .717 success rate.
A Dayton, Ohio, native and former star point guard at the University of Notre Dame, Duffy was named BIG EAST Coach of the Year after her debut season with Marquette in 2019-20.
Also earning a selection to the 40 Under 40 list is Favian Gonzalez, a graduate student and member of the Trinity Fellows Program. Gonzalez is the co-founder and coach of Street Dreams Soccer Academy, which seeks to optimize positive-youth-development via mentorship, family engagement and community collaborations.
